DMCA & takedown process

BatcheeMashup publishes commentary and reaction mashups. Rights holders can report specific material they believe infringes their copyright. We log each notice, review it, and take appropriate action under applicable law. A form submission does not automatically delete content.

Before public launch: the operator must verify this contact address, identify the legal service operator, publish a valid postal address, and register a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office if claiming the DMCA safe-harbor process. This website has not represented that registration is complete.
  1. 1

    Submit a detailed takedown notice

Use the copyright notice form. Include your full legal name and contact details; identify the copyrighted work; provide the exact BatcheeMashup URL(s); explain the alleged infringement; and include the required good-faith, accuracy, authority, and electronic-signature statements.

Alternatively, email the same information to ejean9602@gmail.com. A valid notice should follow the requirements of applicable copyright law (for U.S. DMCA notices, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)).

  2. 2

    Human review and action

We record a case number and review the identified content. We may ask for clarification, restrict access, remove a Bunny-hosted copy and catalog entry, or decline a notice that is incomplete or does not identify specific material. We do not remove content automatically solely because a report was submitted.

Where legally required, we notify the uploader and retain a record of the notice and our response.

  3. 3

    Counter-notice by an affected uploader

If content was removed in error or due to misidentification, the uploader may use the counter-notice link included in the removal email or contact ejean9602@gmail.com. A counter-notice generally must include the removed material and its former location, contact details, consent to the relevant federal court jurisdiction, acceptance of service, a good-faith statement under penalty of perjury, and an electronic signature (see 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)).

We review complete counter-notices and forward them to the original claimant where required. Reinstatement is not automatic; statutory notice periods, court actions, safety, and technical ability may affect the result.

  4. 4

    Misrepresentations

Copyright law can impose liability for knowingly material misrepresentations in takedown notices or counter-notices. Submit only claims you are authorized to make. Do not use this process to resolve general complaints or disputes unrelated to copyright.
